I'm probably wrong (definite touch of senility) but I think it means:

"My hovercraft is full of eels!"

Brilliant, that takes me back!

"Caribou on the lawn, nibbling the croquet hoops, Jerry cabbage crates over the briny Tally-Ho etc".

Keeping the thread going, I thought you might like this picture of myself and Lady Snapcase going down the pub last night. We like to put on a bit of  a show, don't you know?

Oh err I say... rather. Afraid it's time to spill the tea ol chap, you see, that's me again in drag. I know I know, everyone says I'm rather convincing,...rather. To many re-runs of 'It ain't half hot mum' me thinks. Your good woman asked if I'd cover for the evening, and well you know, she played cards with the Women's Elephant hunting club and I got to knock back drunk sailors, LAF pulp members and free pints all night. Anyways, still thanking Britannia nothing happened, apart from us getting kicked out at closing so no hard feelings.

Here's me at my best and if I was in anyway inclined, and I'm not, what you missed out on.  lol

Surely, you must be joking.

So you say, but you don't remember what happened after your fourth pint of scrumpy, in the sheep pen? That's when I knew you were an impostor, Sir! My wife would have been on her eleventh pint by then!

Now I recognise you!

We need a replay on that mixed-doubles we played at the Hill Station last summer. Shall we play as the men this time?

I posted this in 2010 1910, but I believe it still fits. Of course I had a bottle of champaign aboard...  :D

I was lucky to get one of the rare tickets for a ride on Germany´s first train. The engine had been built in Newcstle by Stephenson, disassembled and shipped to Rotterdam, from there to Cologne on the river Rhine and carried from there to Nuremberg by mules, where it was reassembled at Wilhelm Späth mechanic works. The first train left Nuremberg on december, 7th in 1835.

Looking very dapper in that topper, Sir!

I do love your personal train as well. Do you have a vacancy for an engine driver? I've always wanted to drive a train!

I used to have the same idea and finally jumped on that train. I quit because you become horribly dirty, my good man. Not to mention all that burnt skin due to hot iron and glowing pieces of coal from that stack. Better forget it. I rather hardly managed to avoid brain damage caused by tremendous speed of an excession of 15mph though. It´s a dangerous enterprise being a driver, believe me!
