Chris, those Romans are even better than your winning team from last week. Gorgeous.

Frank, your painting is great, but - as ever - your picture composition and photography is superb. It's art really. Well done  :)

Seconded.

Awesome stuff gentlemen. :-*

I agree its my choice too... lol

What gets me is the little details, like Frank has done here. The colored patterns at the seams, cuffs and hems. Not just one color, but patterned in what looks like two or even three colors. In 20mm.  :o

Those Romans... so crisp and cleanly painted...

Insane, in a good way :)

Agree here too.

There's going to be a lot of tough pairings in this year's LPL.

Thank you!  :)
Yes, these are 1/72 Plastics from Zvezda. Actually most of my miniature-armies are in scale 1/72! For the background I used more or less 300 Miniatures of my Persian and Macedonian armies.

@Bugsda: You Romans are fantastic! I are really an expert of painting skin and faces. :-*

I bet! I tried to count the raised lances silhouetted against the horizon and gave up at 50...

Oh dear! I've been Franked  :'(

That's a superb job Frank, I love the scene  :-*

Of course I'd love it a lot more if it was slaughtering someone else's Romans  ;)

How do you get the paint to stay on polythene figures, I've never had much luck with that.
Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.
