Hey looks great.  Though your Truppen (I think you are talking about the german soldiers) should have armour lined coats or Jacks to keep in line with the other national militaries. Germans tended to provide their African troops with better equipment and training then others so you might want to consider armour if that is what you are referring to. YOu might also consider a machine gun team since there were several machine guns used by the unit.

A nicely balanced company with an interesting background. I also think you might like to give the German troops jacks. it only costs one point per soldier. A machine gun team would also help to round out the force.

Hi

Thanks for the comments

The Truppen are Copplestone AFU2 German East Africa Co. Askaris and they are only wearing a short sleeved t shirt, so any sort of armour seemed wrong. I am assuming the +1 pluck for inspiration will help.

I will have to give the mg team some thought.

Wissmans background is actual history up to the point he is recalled to Berlin. He used to have a large statue in Hamburg, but it's now in storage.

Ah in that case I understand the no armour but you may want to add some crack German troops with armour because armour-less troopers drop like Icicles in a chinook when they are hit by military rifles or big melee weapons.  If you do decide on Machine gun (Only had German gunners no Africans) and German troops I suggest these ones.

Nice figures, and very tempting, but I'm unlikely to order them because ordering more than 1 pack will see me having to pay 20% tax plus a £8 ($13) handling charge  :o

No it's not big or clever, and a definate drag on my purchasing. Being on a budget is a bi*ch sometimes.  >:(

Craig, all my life my head has exploded with ideas but I lack the ability to get them onto paper in a coherant form. This company took 2 days to research, but almost a week to type up for presentation.

Tomorrow I hope to post their principle opponants, the RN Landing party from HMS Thrush.
