Some of these would be very useful for a Pulp Cairo game.

Looking again at the picture of the bearers is seems that most of them were based on dollies intended for figures that would be carrying shields and holding/throwing spears.

They do! Cheers for the photos. Might consider the diggers if they are released.

They will be. I was speaking with them today and they said once they sort their factory move out all these packs will be released.

Tim Prow has done some nice figures for Reaper, so I'm not sure why his Foundry stuff is (generally) so disappointing.

Well, they are from before the recent turnaround and he probably had the same deal as some others I talked to where he had to churn out a lot of them in a short period of time for a fixed packrate.

I'm sure you're right.

Unfortunately, they are in that middle ground. They're not really "character figures", they're just "extras", and while I'll certainly (happily) pay more for individual miniatures if I like the look of them, I have repeatedly looked at this range and thought "not quite worth it".

Individual figures I would buy, but Foundry only sell them in packs, and there'd be too many figures in any given pack that I know I'd never use.
I understand the economics of it from the manufacturers point of view, but, I want to be able to happily use all the figures from a pack I'm buying, and as far as this range is concerned, I don't think I generally would.

This isn't just restricted to Tim Prow's stuff, or even just Foundry, it's something I take into consideration whenever I contemplate buying a pack of miniatures. If I know I wont use at least the majority of the figures in a pack I'll pass.
