The "Mummy" range

I didn't see those either or I would have jumped all over them!!  I had a brief look at the unreleased rack but didn't see them.

Mark had to point them out to me or I would have missed them. ::)

I forgot to have a look at these, not enthused by the comments on here.

*Arabs carrying luggage. Not bad sculpts. They only pack I purchased.

I bought the Arab diggers and Arab porters which I think were best of the bunch.

Could I press either of you for a photo?

This link should help answer your questions gentlemen. The "Mummy" range not released on the website or e-bay from Foundry that a lucky sole who got to Salute this year bought.

http://glueinthecarpet.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/salute-loot.html

I'd love to see all the others they have still. They did promise to bring them out fully sometime ago on e-bay but I've not seen any of them yet.

That is one nice set of minis. I was so busy talking to Kev Adams about stuff that I didn't look at the unreleased stuff....doh!

I'll post photos of both packs tonight.

In a thread on the "Ages of Myths, Gods & Empires" board on this site, Penfold was also curious as to when this range would be released.
I hope he won't mind if I quote his post here:-

"Just asked foundry myself as would love one. Heres the reply

" The pack in question is actually part of our Egyptian adventures range that for the time being is unreleased. We took some sample packs to salute but they aren’t available as yet, when we do decide to release them it will be announced on the newsletter. "

So i guess we are going to have to wait a little longer"

So,

1) They are ready

2) We have not decided if/when they will be released

3) You can look but not touch (sounds like the old disclosure/release catch-22 about certain 'unclassified but sensitive' maps at work - I can show you. my ally - "because I value you" - but I can't let you have a copy -  "I don't value you that much.")

Bureaucracy has come to Foundry...  Joyous.

Glenn

Pictures as promised:

They're not the best sculpts in the world but definitely serviceable.

And comparison shot with Foundry DA bearer

Hope that helps

They aren't bad at all. But only five figures in each pack?

Yes, but these were the best of the sculpts. The rest especially the American and British figures were pretty ropey. :(

Looking again at the picture of the bearers is seems that most of them were based on dollies intended for figures that would be carrying shields and holding/throwing spears.

Possibly, but I think it's more that they are just in the same vein as the other Victorian figures that Tim Prow did for Foundry,  :?
Strange, stilted poses that just "don't look right"
I think that there are about half a dozen figures that I actually like across the whole range, but as they are spread through various packs, I think I'll wait till they inevitably turn up on ebay.
These aren't too bad, and fill a gap, but I'd be reluctant to pay full Foundry pack prices for them.
Tim Prow has done some nice figures for Reaper, so I'm not sure why his Foundry stuff is (generally) so disappointing.
