Playing rugby
« on: July 08, 2008, 05:47:44 PM »
Hello!
Surfing on the net I find miniatures for playing rugby matchs. Still wanting to change the resultat of the half final of the last world cup (for France of course  ;)) I'd luike to buy this minis but I still search a rule to play with them.
Does anybody know one?
Still surfing (between two miniatures painting  :D) I find this one
http://www.crashtackle.co.za/features/about.html
Do you know it? Is this rule realy playable (not sure of my word  ???)?
Thanks for your help ;)

I have no knowledge of the rules myself, but these folks seem to enjoy Crash Tackle:

And here's a topic on another forum which talks about the same blog, and includes details of some figures available, too (which may or may not be the same ones you have seen):

Thanks for your help.
It's the miniatures that decide me to look for a rule, they are pretty nice  :-* and it's a very original way to play with miniatures changing from historical fight ;)
After reading all things I'm hesitate between Rugby World et Crash Tackle that have each one their defender. I continue my search! :D

The old Asterix range had some, they turn up every now and then. We have our big swap meet at the end of the month, I have seen them there so I'll keep an eye out for you.

They have it at Shire Games:

Think I must have.... I also plan to try Elfball and Deathball... Sports games with minis are such a nice break from all the guns and stuff  :)

I pass a command directly on the website (the mega pack + the add on). Only to wait it.
You've got a forum too you can find here http://ctcoaches.co.za/
Yep playing sport with miniatures is always funny  :D

Did you purchase all the add-ons?

I wouldn't want to buy the mega-pack, as I want to play with minis, not the flat wooden counters... but on the other hand, I maybe need it to get the stats for the teams... or what..  ???

So am I but the CRASH TACKLE: MEGA PACK NORTHERN HEMISPHERE that I buy had (if I have all understand) one of the add on (GAME BREAKER CARDS) and the price was the same so... I buy the 2nd Add on called  EXTRA PRESSURE PLAY DECK.
I buy directly because with the € so high it's very interesting for me (got all for 35 €).
