28MM Middle Eastern Buildings
« on: April 20, 2014, 05:04:35 PM »
For the last few months I’ve been working on my 28mm Pulp era Egyptian archeological dig.  A major element of that collection is a Pulp era Egyptian town.  One of the building manufacturers I’m using for structures for that town is Kobblestone Miniatures.  Because I haven’t seen these buildings posted before and because they are really great pieces, I’ve decided to post a few that I recently finished painting.  Hope you like them.

 :o :o :o

I have seen Kobblestone before and considered them several times.
Seeing these examples is really twisting my arm, as they are wonderfully finished.

I keep coming back to this thread to check these buildings out.
I think that it is the colour of the sandstone, which is very similar to how I have painted most of my buildings, as these would fit in very well in my collection.

Damn you!!!

They are some of the nicest buildings I've seen and reasonably priced when compared with others on the market.  Mason, I borrowed the wall color from the ones on display on the Kobblestone website.  I really like it too.  Bill, the owner of Kobblestone, is a nice guy and very easy to work with… a good shopping experience.

Mila and Prof, thank you both.  The Kobblestone buildings are  among the very nicest I have ever owned and a real pleasure to paint.

Those really do look fantastic. They're great buildings, and you've done a wonderful job on them. Make sure you put up a snap of a game in progress - would be really god to see them 'in situ'.

Dave and blacksoilbill, thanks to both of you for writing and the kind words.  As I've probably already said a couple of times, the Kobblestone buildings were a pleasure to paint.  In fact I purchased several doors, windows and awnings from their accessory line to spruce up some of my other Middle Eastern buildings.  I hope to be posting my Pulp-Egyptian-archeological-dig layout sometime between mid-May and early June, and that will include the complete Egyptian town and the Egyptian ruins (a large temple complex and two Playmobil pyramids and other stuff).  I've been working/playing at it since early November and as the painting and construction nears completion, I admit that I'm getting pretty excited to see it in place myself.  Thanks again for writing.  Richard

Traveler Man, thank you for the generous comment.  I noticed that you have done some rather nice Middle Eastern building work of your own.  Again, thanks for writing.  Richard
