Great statue. Car boots are also a good place for such 'junk'. I picked up some great Lledo cars for £2 each and a complete GW Valkyrie for £5 on Monday.

The thing is not to look too knowledgeable...

Asking "How much are those army men?" works well......
'So do all who see such times. But that is not for us to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that we are given.'

I think I asked "how much are the little cars?" while with my toddler, so that may have inadvertently helped! While I was buying the Valkyrie of a 15 year old (who only wanted £4!) there was a guy offering him £5 for a box of Tomb King stuff including 3 chariots. I was encouraging the kid to stick to his guns.

I suspect that car boot sales in Newark/Nottingham area are full of unwanted GW tat.

I cannot overstate the benefits of a fortnightly snoop around all the charity shops and poundshops in your town centre. Goldmines!

Aye, the things one finds second hand. I've picked up a GW landraider for 50p at a car boot sale (damn, I should have haggled). This week I bought four toy doll houses that, with a little work, will be great for post apocalyptic suburban housing (£2 each, uh though I was the one who priced them, as they were in my charity shop). Though what I will say is that, based on the charity shop which I volunteer in, is that for what goes out on the shelves, so much more's just left in a bag or recycled. =/
