I am in at £66 plus postage = 33 figures (African militia).
However it needs to be a better offer to increase to more money.

We are really flying through our stretch goals. Next up for unlocking is the Delta force close support team and the Witch doctor and fighters.

The Delta support team is one of our most detailed sets. Featuring a dog handler with an AA-12 shotgun and slung MP7, Marksman with M110 and a demolitions specialist with SCAR UGL and stowed M141 BDM multi-purpose launcher!

Wow, we are really amazed with how quickly these stretch goals are unlocking! We may have to make some more figures for further ones at this rate....

Designers notes. We thought this would be a great opportunity to talk a little about the Delta force range and one of our more unusual figures - the witch doctor.

Figures look good, but the only drive for me behind pledging a Kickstarter is:

A) I desperately want to support the company or product.

B) It's a good value and you get stuff for free. (all of the KS I've supported I ended up with 150-200% product for my money as a result of the bonus materials)

I'm a little "eh" on the figures and the KS doesn't seem to be giving you much of a deal.  The prices are close to reasonable, but if these are KS only prices the final product will be way beyond what I'd consider purchasing.  Nice to see that they're funded, but there is nothing driving me to join the Kickstarter.  If I found these at a reasonable retailer after the fact with a little discount I wouldn't mind picking up a pack or two - just no reason to pledge when they're funded and you don't get anything special.

This Kickstarter is intended for us to form a viable business that we can grow over time. Giving away tonnes of free figures wouldn't be a practical way for us to do this.

The figures work out at around £2 a figure and slightly less at the top levels.  You also get a free rule set and a free Kickstarter exclusive figure for backing at the 'Big Man' level or above. We are considering a couple of additional free figures to say 'thank you' for the overwhelming support to those that have given it to us.

I find the price okay.

That said, it seems to me that the most successful Kickstarters have a mix of freebies and unlocks as stretch goals.

The freebies make you want to spend more.
The unlocks give you a way to spend more.

One without the other does not work as well.

It seems like a strange thing to be 'rewarded' with an ability to spend more....  I think that's why the DF KS was so successful.  I do like some of the mil sculpts, but they really are expensive for pre-orders...

I'm still holding my 10 gpb pledge, but I dont think for long...

There is a famous (infamous?) image from the fighting in Libera with a couple of warriors wearing life preservers during the fighting - supposedly they were told these would make them bulletproof.  Thta might be a cool idea in the 'Bulletproof' grouping for this KS.

Correct, and I understand that.  I'm merely saying, as a potential customer - now that you're funded, I get no benefit from backing the Kickstarter unless I'm just dying the have the figures immediately upon release.  Since I'm not, I won't be bothering with the KS and there is no benefit to me.  I like some of the figures, heck I might even pick up a couple in the future but in my non-biased opinion there is no driving force for me to join the Kickstarter as opposed to buying the miniatures at a later date.

That's all.  You've already been funded so I'd say you're doing fine.

Well, strictly speaking I don't think we've seen the final post-KS retail price anywhere (not that this is different from any other KS).

Yep, acknowledged.  However, if the prices are much more (if at all) I'd be losing interest on the budget side.  I'm just glad to see another quality line of modern minis coming out.

I'll keep Spectre stuff bookmarked and if the prices are right, maybe a future customer.

I seem to recall Spectre saying that the KS prices were discounted, hence my interest now. I dont really think you can charge more than Empress per figure given that they are, I would say, top rate figures.
