Help! Hanseatic Lübeck information?

I've got a small group for Gloire that I'd like to paint up. The group is a merchant and his bodyguards, and I've got some Landsknechts for the bodyguards and a WHFB Empire Engineer (the one with the telescope and slung rifle) for the merchant. I wanted to have the group be from a Hanseatic city, and so they're going to be from Lübeck.

The problem is that I don't know anything about Lübeck beyond that it's a Hanseatic League city, and Thomas Mann was born there. :

If anyone has any information that would be handy for picking color schemes, or coming up with a backstory for these guys, I would greatly appreciate it! I'll name a Gloire character in your honor.

I was raised in Lübeck. My Gran Parents lived in Travemünde. That is not far from Lübeck. I think I can tell you lots about this city but that would take too much time. One thing. It is one of the most beautiful towns in Germany.I checked this here up. Hope the link works and the translation is ok
