Has anyone heard from Gavin with Baker Company miniatures lately? I have sent him a couple emails and no response.

He is very busy producing stuff for his winter war kickstarter so that could be why.

Surprisingly it seems they are. He is ignoring his kickstarter backers but still seems to send out the odd parcel.  I was lucky enough to get a refund but I have know idea how he is still in business

Yeah, he has been busy with that for a couple of years... I hope he found the money I paid him useful :-[

Yeah, I don't think I am going to trust him with my hard earned piasters.

A useful exercise in learning how not to run a KS (and how not to back a KS - I'm out by more than I care to think about...)

Update:

Yes we are still very active, can I help you with an inquiry?

Regards,
Gavin Tyler

Hello Gavin!

I would like to make an order, but reading online about people not recieving their goods has made me a bit apprehensive...

Best wishes

Hi,

If this is in regard to our Kickstarter campaign, these orders are still going out and are being sent if not late.

Regards,
Gavin Tyler

Ok!

A lot of people seem to think that they won´t recieve their goods at all.

I would like to place an order, but am not sure I dare to pay in advance...

Best J

After this... No answer...

Yep, not answering questions is his standard operating procedure. The kickstarter was successfully funded in October 2013 and orders "being sent if not late" pah....

I'd be wary. I also backed the Kickstarter for more than I should have - and more than my wife needs to know. I have yet to see a single mini three years later.

In the immediate aftermath of said Kickstarter, I thought, why not also order some Vietnam minis from him? They look nice. Order placed, allegedly shipped, never received. I notified him, he said he would file an insurance claim. I foolishly said just put them in with the Finns and Russians when they ship. Ha! Never saw the Vietnam minis either.

£57 000 through the Winter War Kickstarter. That's a handsome ransom.

Only if you have done your numbers correctly and are not working at a loss. Some of the deals on KS just didn't make any financial sense at all.
