I painted my first miniature for real in a long time.

It is a total homage to Cheetor and his fantastic work on various sci-fi figures in his Wrecking Crew for Judge Dredd.

There's no way around it - it is blatant plagiarism, but I was actually unaware that he had this figure in his crew when I painted it. However, the inspiration is clear and came directly from his crew. 

I expect to stop with only around 3-4 figures in my wrecking crew. I have a star wars mega droid that will also fit nicely in.

Painting is fun again.

That's great news

Painting slumps are odd things, quite disruptive psychologically I find. The painting process helps me to function better in the rest of my life, so when it's absent it's quite a problem: I need the outlet.

Great yellows there Thorbjørn! Not bad at all after a painting slump. Going through one myself at the moment, so building terrain in the hope I can kickstart it again.

Your project is a very entertaining. The retro space west theme is well captured and designed. It is a challenge to find figures and materials that fits a theme but there is a great sense of accomplishment once it is discovered! I want to copy a few of your ideas as well. I look forwards to your future postings.
