Triples 2014
« on: May 16, 2014, 06:40:15 PM »
I hope this post is in the right place…

I'm intending to go to the Triples in Sheffield tomorrow. I haven't been to the Triples for a couple of decades - and I've never been to the English Institute for Sport. Are there any decent food/refreshment facilities at the venue? The website for the show is barely adequate - the floor plan shows a 'bar', but that's all.

Thanks in advance,
Phil

Hmmm…  Might have to bring me own sarnies then. My experience of health/sports/leisure centre fayre is that it tends to be expensive rubbish…  Which is odd, given that it's meant to be catering to people who're supposed to care about what they consume.

Not great for food, however it's only a 2 min drive down the road to Meadowhall where you can get whatever you want.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Yep, take your sarnies. I was there back in 2010 when stranded by the volcanic ash flight debacle and I remember it being pricey but can't remember the quality or content. I think I decided on a cuppa and hunger pangs which I satisfied with a takeout when we got back to Fareham (UK base when visiting).

Mind you, the advantage of not purchasing food meant that there was still money in the budget when I finally go to see more of the traders' stalls. Sadly luggage allowance was still an issue to be considered.  :(
