Both entries were outstanding!  It was difficult to make up my mind.  But in the end I had just had to know about those Dogs, what a terrific job, and thanks for the inspiration.

Beautiful characterisation on those Germans Malcolm. Wonderful painting.

Against a very unusual subject, and a well executed scenic setting - as we expect from Dr Matt.

Another brilliant WW1 match up  :-*

Matt, I love the rich, dark green uniforms. And the mud and weathering on the vehicle are so realistic. The dogs simply take it over the top -- great job, my friend!

Very nice minerva and dog carts but as a Belgian  I have to point out that there is no
evidence for green paint on those cars

Germans well done, but I have to go with the dogs.  A wonderful scene.  As to the color of the Minerva, who has seen everyone to know what colors might have been applied. Shades of green

Thanks all. I've had the dog carts for quite a while so I was happy to see a WW1 round come up on the LPL list.

Very nice minerva and dog carts but as a Belgian  I have to point out that there is no
evidence for green paint on those cars

What color were they? Honestly, I'd have loved to paint it some other color but I could find nothing that indicated they weren't green, so I went with it. The Minerva was the only thing I needed to buy for the LPL and it was already on my list anyway :)

Excellent painting and scenic setting, Dr.  My hearty congratulations.

Incidentally, if anyone is wondering where the aeroplane is in my entry...it's still in the box.   lol  Time, I am afraid, beat me in the end.   ::)

Belgian army documents from 1914 talk of 'gris elephant' (elefant grey ?); by 1916 Minerva's appeared in a british style camouflage; In 1918 they were brun khaki (brown khaki)

hope this helps

Two lovely entries, very difficult to decide!

Orctrader, who makes the pilots?

Thanks Orctrader, as always you show off some great quality- there's some very effective and subtle tonal and hue differences in your group.

Looking forward to the aeroplane next year :)

Orctrader, who makes the pilots?

L to R as you look at the screen.
Copplestone - from the , er, Pilot pack.
Next three - the pilot, chap with the map and haughty pilot - Red Baron & Chums set - sculpted by Bill at Musketeer Miniatures but sold by Gripping Beast.
Last figure, saluting, Copplestone from the German Mercenaries pack

Thanks Orctrader, as always you show off some great quality- there's some very effective and subtle tonal and hue differences in your group.

Thanks.   :)
