Mine Carts (Wee Update 8/1)
« on: December 23, 2012, 05:46:55 PM »
I was recently asked to do a wee rush job on a couple of mine carts for Ainsty Castings. Andy already has one that's filled with rock and ore and was looking for an empty one. I had a couple of wee ideas and he's let me run with it!

This is the original one, available from Andys site..

http://ainstycastings.co.uk/product_info.php/cPath/38/products_id/572/osCsid/c031c3d40e867b02fc25c213c239f772

And these are my additions. They could probably do with a coat of primer to bring out the details, but I don't know if that will mess Andys casting process up..

The last one one the left is still WIP and the one on the right the hand pump mechanism is held together temporarily with blu-tac( other blue coloured adhesive putties are available!! ;))
Also the wheel sets have been left loose and are easily interchangeable with the older set.

I'm thinking of having some sort of removable loads for the carts.

Cheers for looking guys!

the three of them, veery promising!
Your skill with plasticard is good, and the capacity to sketch and create... that's awesome.
Priming is not a problem but still is a loss of details! Not much, but still something! =)

I had some business with Andy as well, but saldy real life implications forced me to pause all this. I sent him a mail, but i think that he didn't recieve it...!

I want them.

Now I also want to build a few m² of cavern/mine terrain with at least half a metre of height differences just to play an odd pulp scenario or two. Let's not think about dull, mundane matters like storage.

This is what makes LAF a dangerous place.

+1 and a million on this!
Lovely details Andy, you never stop to surprise me :)

And when I get extremely rich, I'll sort out a big ass house for my stuff, and a small cottage for my family...

Lovely work as usual, Andy.
Top notch!

Gotta say, though, that you do a good job of hiding those extra arms in public....

Waaaaaay ahead of you bud! ;)

This was my thinking for either a 2x2 or 3x3 board. I don't know if the pics that great, I'll see if I can get a better one....

I was thinking of using Ainsty Castings mine set and having something like a shortened version of the roller coaster set piece in one corner.

Thanks for the nice comments guys!!!

Carts are great.
What game is the board for?
