Try cutting the base off and just glue their feet to the base.  Should drop them down a milimeter or two!

That might work with the height, but the weapons are still going to look too big.

BINGO!!

The weapons are superb, with more detail than usual, or possible,  in 28mm.
Tiger's heads, hats n'hands are also a giveaway.  AFTER I bought 'em I chanced upon this:



Lovely, but hardly correctable with basing, misfortunately...
