Enjoyed the write up and looks to have been a very enjoyable game with a great looking set up....which manufacturers made the figures were you using ? Being very partial to massed ranks of cavalry I liked the look of the cossacks a lot....thanks for sharing

Thanks - manufacturers were as follows:
- Infantry (Red & White) - Copplestone, Brigade Games
- Infantry (Turkish) - Woodbine Design (Gripping Beast)
- Cavalry - Copplestone
- Characters & Command elements - Copplestone, Artizan, Musketeer, Brigade Games
- Armoured Cars - Copplestone, Sloppy Jalopy
- Artillery - Copplestone, Brigade Games
- Train - Brigade Games/Company B
- Buildings - Hovels, 4 Ground, 1st Corps
- Misc Terrain - Woodland Scenics (mats, trees and bushes), Perry/Renedra (fences), Warlord (fences)

I provided three total armies: Rob's Kuban Cossacks; who faced the Don Cossacks; and Rob's allies the Ragged Whites. These were mostly Copplestone. Painted with Foundry triad sets they came up great and I've never been great at painting horse before doing these mass amount of Cossacks. I did some 80 Cossacks in total last year and deployed them again this year. A victim of my own success as more people asked for cavalry, I am now painting up another 12 Cossacks, along with some 36 Red Cavalry (also from Copplestone that did not feature on the field this time).

All of the manufacturers above are very easy to deal with. Mark Copplestone is always very fast and his figures are a delight to paint with the Foundry triads. Brigade Games are also great at getting stuff across the pond in rapid order. Artizan have a number of really good character models in their Pulp ranges and their style is similar to Copplestone, seeing as the designer is also ex Foundry no surprise there.

Cheers for the breakdown Giles  8)....been hovering around on the edges of this period for a bit now and the report of your game report fired me back up again....then as I did a mental stocktake I realised I still have a small stash of HLBS figures from some years back that never got finished.....am now only a couple of Ospreys away from relaunch  :)
