Getting started in Judge Dredd
« on: 02 June 2014, 05:22:07 AM »
There's been a bit of interest in JDMG at our club, so I'm looking to kick it off soon, is there an official or fan-made gang roster anywhere? Something like Umpire of the Dead would be great, but I'm not that hopeful.

Pics to follow.

I've started my Demonic Cabal, using some GW minis:

And a couple of pacts:

Nice but you'll struggle to arm the Cultist minions (which you really need in numbers) with more than pop guns. I use my Chaos figs as Muties but there is no reason you couldn't use them as Punks, or anything else you can think of.

Have fun and be sure to let us know how you get on

Doing a little more for Dredd, hoping to get a game in this week.

First of the Ape Gang of another club member:

Another swing at the Cabal, I may grab some more lightly armed GW cultists to round it out.

Dark Judges all Heroclix, though I still need Judge Death.

Some heroes, Hershey, Dredd and Johnny Alpha. I'm considering converting Alpha into another Brti-Cit judge.

Sorry for the double-post, my camera was giving me grief this morning.

Two Brit-Cit beat Judges, both Heroclix. I still need to find minis I like for Plod Bots and a detective Judge. I'd really like a mini that looks like Idris Elba as John Luther if I can find one.

The Royal Flush Gang (Sky surfers). This may well lead me to doing Batman Beyond as a Vigilante down the track. I have Ace, but will probably use it as a merc.

They're Heroclix remounted on mini playing cards. Look for "King and Queen" and "Jack and Ten".

Got a couple of games in at club last night.

Neil's heavily-armed Chimps.

My Brit-Cit Judges (with Johnny Alpha standing in until I get a Detective mini).

DCI Luther and a Plod Bot take the centre.

Judges Barnaby and Jones take the flank.

The Apes (a renegade Janitorial crew on a crusade to "Clean Up" the city) advance to cover.

Luther sends in the Plod Bot to test the Ape's aggression.

The Judges get into an ambush position.

The Ape lines up the Plod Bot with his heavy Spit gun.

Luther approaches the flamethrower Ape.

"Down on the ground or I'll beat your head in, savvy?"

The Ape does not resist arrest.

Barnaby and Jones move in to arrest another ape.

With the Plod Bot worryingly close, Big Banana gives the order to open fire.

Spit guns make short work of the robot.

"Hold it buddy, you're nicked!"

The belt feeds in and the carnage really starts! Luther is down!

Another one for the Iso-Cubes.

Barnaby and Jones close in on the ape heroes.

The hail of bullets continues.

The HMG fire keeps the Judges at bay.

More to follow...

Good to see other Aussies getting in to JDMG.
I've only painted the Juve box, have the others (except for Fatties) and have just started on terrain.  I won't be able to try it out locally until I get a second gang painted (no other friends currently interested in JDMG)

Made some progress:

My Renegade Robot hero tackles Judge Fire.

A better look at "Rumble Bee", an escaped Robot Wars contestant. Repainted clix.

The Royal Flush Gang finished, time to surf some sky.

The Royal Flush game looks amazing.  That was an incredibly clever idea.
