This is painful... I'm out of town for a few more days and I have hundreds of colonial figures waiting at home...

Hrrmmff... seems that all my victorian brits ready for painting are wearing home service uniform - not really fitting the subject.

On the up-side, I have found a handful of minis for a themed series of entries. Hopefully primed this weekend!  >:D
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

No. 8 - Brigadier Jethro Q. Walrustitty

The Brigadier has stepped outside the Mess to smoke a quiet pipe, “when I was a young subaltern back in Jalalabad, there was none of this dressing as women on Mess Night, the old Colonel would have had a blue fit, blah, blah, blah, might just as well pass the port to the right, blah, blah, blah!”

Just finished him this evening. Obviously not up to the standard of previous entries but I’m happy to take part.  :D

Any relation to the Upper Buggardly Walrustitties? Knew them back in the day. Famous for their parties.

Young Persephone was a hell of a goer. Shame that she fell in with a bad lot, the Mosley crowd. Changed her name to Swastika Valkyrie Walrustitty, last I heard.

But I digress...

Argonor, you can do a fellow in Home Service clobber if you want to. During the Indian Mutiny the Rifle Brigade turned up in full dress, complete with shakos, and carried on like that for a while before common sense prevailed. The 2nd Dragoon Guards were reported by eyewitnesses wearing their full dress uniforms complete with brass helmets, as if they were seeking to defeat the murderous rays of the Indian sun by the application of sheer bloody-mindedness. So it's your call.  :)

Know her? I married her!!!!!!

Now she's known as Swastika Valkyrie Walrustitty-Snapcase and a damn fine wife she is too, that's if you can keep the vodka hidden!

We don't invite that crowd to Snapcase Hall anymore, not since that embarrassing episode with the Bishop of Norwich!

I may, time permitting. Right now I have my mind set on 3-5 figs to do, first, then we'll see.

Well, that's my first painted African figure since years. Unfortunately I have found that my african skin colour pots were dried out in the meantime so I've lost my recipe (which I liked a lot) and had to experiment a bit with brown tones. The first painted guy didn't look bad in my hands but not on the photo so he won't be joining that fine expedition due to not being photogenic. This is the second guy, I'm still far from being happy but who cares.

Lovely all. Especially these native chappies.

Only hundreds? Seems too low of a count.  lol
