Well that's saved me a blog post or two... cheers mate!  lol

But Yes... the plan is was to produce BA lists that roughly conformed to the same numbers as the 1:1 CoC ones, so no figures are left in the boxes if you play both.

For the megalomaniacs out there, you could play platoon games with CoC, and larger representative actions with BA... horses for courses and all that.

Ever thought of using the Skirmish VBCW rules?

"Went the day well?" has a far more GW 'legends/Great War' feel to the mechanics and weapon ranges are actually quite short/realistic.
It also allows for many factions to fight at the same time, and its time setting/weapons etc  are the same as SCW.

Not a bad little rules set, and at £8, worth every penny!
Money can't buy you happiness but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.

I suspect we'd struggle to play Bolt Action games with them, which is the topic...  ;)

Seriously though, I'm sure they are fine, or possibly even great, as are probably the ones 'Empress Paul' did for Osprey.

It's more a case of "we like these rules" & "we like this period" and we want to combine them. Actually buying another set of rules that might work better is a bit like cheating.

:)

I see it as being like the old distinction between 'gentlemen' and 'players' in a fashion. You can of course 'buy' the correct rule set for what you want to play, or you can use the existing one purely for the love of the game.
;)

Now who's up for a medieval conversion of my favourite rule set I'm calling "Chainmail of Command".  :D

Maybe we should ask Rich to give a prize for the most ridiculous application.  ;)

However, this is not that thread, apologies to Phil for taking it off topic.  :-I
