Took some time to lay out all of my Mythos/Chaos Daemons stuff to see what I have. After a quick read of the Chaos Daemons Codex, I'm actually pretty keen to paint the lot up as an army for 40K as well as all the other games these minis will get used for. (Super System, Kaiju, Empire of the Dead, Judge Dredd, SOTR, Strange Aeons)

The idea is to replace the Gods of Chaos with Lovecraftian Outer and Elder Gods and their spawn. With some quick research, I came up with these alternatives:
Khorne becomes Cthulhu.
Tzeentch becomes Nyarlathotep.
Nurgle becomes Yog-Sothoth.
Slaanesh becomes Yig.

I'm mostly painting for Judge Dredd and commission at the moment, but picking up a daemon makes a nice break now and then, so progress is surprisingly quick. Once I get a unit's worth of something finished, I'll put up another picture.

What I've got so far are Ghouls (Plague Bearers), Cultists (Bloodletters), gribbly monsters (horrors), Shoggoths (beasts of Nurgle), heralds of each god, a Keeper of Secrets, some Daemon Princes and big monsters I'm considering using as fiends.

Cool idea.

My only suggestion would be to use Shub-Niggurath as a substitute for Slaanesh, since Shubby is revered as a fertility goddess (and then the beastmen would be her thousand youngs).

Thanks for the advice guys, I was considering Shub-Niggurath before Yig, so I may go back to that and purpose some of my old beastmen.

I love the big beasties from Avolak as well, but sadly it's small things that I'll need first.

Really? Why would they not work? I'll point out that many of my cultists are also hybrids and deep ones, for that doulble-stuffed Cthulhu flavor.

Beastmen and animal hybrids for my Daemonettes. Turns out there's very little else I need for 1500 points as well.

Finished a Daemon Prince Last night:

And by "finished" I mean I have a couple more layers of wet-effects to do on the base.

Reaper Bones Daemon painted mostly with inks and washes, really happy with the result.

Got a few things finished, my lack of income has really stalled the project.

Greater Daemon of Nyarlathotep:

RAFM mini. I'm keeping the paintjobs on my Nyarlathotep based around pink and blue to tie them in with Tzeentch.

Heralds of Yog-Sothoth and Nyarlathotep:
