Another Indian Mutiny City
« on: 22 June 2014, 05:13:15 PM »
Inspired by Marine0846, and the Grimsby Wargames Club IM project, I've started to put together my own game based on street-fighting in Delhi, 1857...

Sharing a few photos in the absence of a blog-thingy in the hope your comments will keep me focused on the project. The buildings are the hard work of several people far more talented than me - a mix of commercially bought and scratchbuilt - in 28mm scale on a 6' x 4' table.

Still got to add a Residency and maybe the Kashmir Gate, but that will need a much bigger table, I fear!

Thanks for the kind words. Most of the buildings are scratchbuilt by Andrew at the 'Colonial Steamboat Company', with a few from the Middle East range from PMC (now owned by Caliver Books) and Najewitz Modelbau. The canal is from Frontline Wargaming, I think, and the latex/resin roads from Fat Frank (available via Ebay, and the nicest I've found).

Still got to get some more earthworks and barricades for the streets, as well as general clutter.

First time I've posted photos to the forum so wasn't sure how large the file should/could be. I'll try to post some more detailed/close up shots once I've put some pretty things on the streets

Excellent buildings, love them.
Lots of ideas to use in making more buildings.
Will we get to see troops?
Thanks for sharing.

Super set-up there.

I've got that Colonial Steamboat Company fort you can see in one of the pics. Really is a nice piece of kit. Oddly enough I have the canal too. Unfortunately I never got to use either of them in a game.  :(

Now those pics look very impressive- evidently the chap that has made the models has a real talent.

 :-* :-* :-*

Are they made en masse to plans he already has or are they made to order?

Darrell.
