Lovely !  :)

Shame they only played a peripheral part in the Egyptian campaigns as the Mamelukes did not want any of these new-fangled imitation Westerners around (the Nizam-I-Cedit's most important contribution to the war was the defense of Acre during the 1799 Syrian campaign, though they were present in larger numbers in the final invasion of Egypt in 1801). Come to think of it, these figures would be more suited to kicking the British out of Egypt in 1807 than fighting the French in 1799-1801.

Still, I shall be buying a battalion or two of these when they come out.

Here's hoping the next batch will be Egyptian janissaries (that's figure H1 on page 32 of the Osprey MAA on Armies of the Ottoman Empire 1775-1820, Paul  ;) )

I'm sure Lon will put them on the list. Might be a while now as I broke my sculpting hand on Saturday in two places :-[

I do hope your valued hand will recover soon!

Yikes!  Better than blowing it off with a cannon, I suppose, but it must still be horrible for you. Get well soon.

Don't go back to those two places then.

I have the new War of 1812 American gunners as well all of the other Brigade Games War of 1812 Americans. They are exquisite sculpts!

The Spanish infantry in round hats look like they might double as American or Canadian militia for the War of 1812. What do guys think?

Paul, sorry to hear about your injury. I hope that you heal quickly.

BTW, I agree with other comments that you are best/most favorite sculptor. As previously stated I have all of the War  of 1812 figures and they are indeed exquisite sculptures and a pleasure to paint. Well done!

Re the War of 1812 range; I have suggested to Lon (no reply) that an American mounted gun team with optional riders in old and new gunners uniforms and perhaps light artillery as well, would a fill a void as no other manufacturer has one.

All the best to you.

Question, so we are going to be seeing some U.S. Dragoons and frontier Militia for the War of 1812 soon?
