Hello everyone. Does anyone know of any good sources for descriptions, pictures, drawings, etchings, etc. of the different states that fought for domination during the Warring States Period of ancient China? I found a decent amount of stuff on the Qin Dynasty but even with the Terracotta Warriors there seems to be some speculation on what color the uniforms and armor was. Whether or not they wore helmets and used shields. That kind of thing.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Joe

When i painted my warring states armies up i used the same schemes in the warhammer supplement. I dont think there is much historical data available except what was found on the terracotta army, and if i remember correctly the colours were quite an odd mix of blues, greens, pinks and red.

I forgot about The Art of War from Warhammer Historical.

Probably the best quick reference out there although I do know that there are a few books in English that concentrate on the subject but I'll be damned if I can remember the names  :?

I know a chap who might know, I'll go and ask him  :)

cheers

Hey guys. Thanks for the input. Do you happen to have a list, scan, or anything that I could look at from that Warhammer supplement? That would be a huge help.  Thanks,

Joe
