Some Kanji advice needed
« on: 29 June 2014, 10:13:07 AM »
Gentlemen,

I have been looking for the correct kanji to represent the word Daishō.  The various online translation services have just served to confuse me.

Anyone able to help?

Those are the kanji for "big and small", and "daishou" is one way of pronouncing them (won't go into "kun" and "on" versions of words).

So...  ???

You tell me - I can ask where the loos are in Japanese, get places on the railway, and engage in light banter about the football or weather.  You know, the stuff you do on holiday.

Samurai duels... not so much  :D
