Those visors remind me of the old Britain's Swoppet figures.....

I thought exactly the same thing... Showing our age, Gary 
(Remember those little rubbery plumes on the helmets, and the plug-in roses to go on the shields?)

These are looking like they;re going to be a simply wonderful set.

Also feels rather like they're being fast-tracked, so they may well emerge ahead of the fifth late-C15th set, the long-slated lighter cavalry box...

And great to have confirmation that these will be of a size with the other medieval sets allowing even more mixing and matching for the converter

Ah! Swoppets! They are responsible for my interest in the Wars of the Roses at its source. 

The potential for these figures is incredible... even in the 1480s there would still be guys wandering around in 'old armour'... okay maybe the 'hound-faced' types might be a vast stretch, but the later types have their uses still.

With a suit of armour costing approximately the same in relation as a new Jaguar car nowadays, not everyone could afford to keep up with the Beauforts. Maybe a little wasteful in terms of figures gained versus figures unusable perhaps, but hey!

I was thinking this myself despite not having an interest in the HYW itself. Will be very interested to see what the French set/sets contain. If they end up covering most of the basic troop types I can see myself starting yet another gaming period.

Probably Crossbowmen, Lighter Armoured men at arms and more 'knightly' looking men at arms in tabards.

That's my guess. Very typical of a French army of the period other then they would have fielded Mounted Men at Arms. Maybe there will be a Mounted Men at Arms boxed set too? who knows at this stage.....

Also the tubular metal scabbards for swords.

Mounted knights at 12 shillings and sixpence put them out of my league.

I think the crossbowman was my favourite.

Good God yes! I'd forgotten all about those! Weren't they in red and silver hoops? Must be where I subliminally got my ideas for colouring-in my Perry WOTR figures from
