Pulp dental chair??
« on: July 16, 2014, 04:45:52 AM »
Hi folks,

I figure this might be the most knowledgeable crowd for this sorta thing.  Anyone know if I can find a 28mm scale dental chair?  I have had an idea for a diorama for a little while, but it would require such an accessory.  Thanks!

No idea about an actual dental chair, but if anyone has a spare seat from the old Citadel metal Land Speeder, that ought to work pretty well.

These have a dental chair feel.  Could customize em a bit.

Why does Little Shop of Horrors come to mind?    One could just make it out of craft foam and wire

Hmm, that land speeder chair could work.  As for the diorama, it would include this character here:

I had thought of using this and converting it into a dental chair as well:

I wonder if that might be easier than finding an old land speeder.

These have a dental chair feel.  Could customize em a bit.

That could potentially work, but its $33 for that set which is a tad too pricey for something I will cut up just to remove a piece.

Whatever you decide to go for, just pop a post in the 'Wanted' section of the Bazaar.
You never know if someone has a chair that they would part with.

That LAF figure is a solid idea too. Shouldn't be too hard to convert that chair from wheels to a centre stand.

Yeah, I don't think I want to risk a black cat bases order until I hear they are back on schedule.  I already have the LAF Gunter figure in the wheelchair, so I think I will just try and convert that since its already here and ready to go.  I was mostly hoping there would be one that would be ready to go without any conversion required.  I guess it's not necessarily a highly demanded piece!  :D

If the missile silo control room chair comes close to what you need, it is made up of simple shapes that could be cut out of plastic and glued together.  With a little sanding to round some edges, I think you could probably make with at very little cost or trouble.
