Oil drums, a chair and some coke.
« on: December 26, 2012, 09:44:12 AM »
Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share the first pics of a little diorama that i finished yesterday night. I've primered it with paint and brush to give uniformity, and i'm a little scared of painting it, since my building skill is quite higher than my painting one...

Here's some pics:

and a more "ground level" view:

Comments and suggestions are welcome!

Cheers
Jack

EDIT: I almost forgot to say, everything is sculpted (for the drums 3d sculpted and printed) by me!

Nice !  :-*
Looks like a perfect sniper's nest.
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons,
for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Great looking model. Give it your best dry brush strokes...if it doesn't work out, re-primer and start again.

Man, you're very talented, and I'm sure a lot of LAF'ers will want to BUY some of those drums, chairs and bottles from you (I know I do).

Good for you to have access to all the techniques and machinery to do this.

As for painting, "just do it".

If all goes wrong with your colour choices, washes or drybrushing, you can give all the model a HEAVY wash of brown/orange, call it "rust" and say it was your intention from the beginning  :D

Thanks for sharing.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!
