"Astute Members of the Gaming (and Cult TV Community) might have noticed the "inspiration" for the "New Defenders"  the Competition is a simple one, Nominate a new "inspiration" for a new Detective "Team" (maximum of four members) for the Nexus Miniatures Range, what their names would be in the Nexus Multiverse (and what their inspiration is).

The Winner will be picked by Art Master General Carl Stoelzel and myself, and will become a part of the Nexus Miniatures Range - and the Winner will receive 5 Sets of the Miniature(s) in question.

SO GET THINKING! Post your Entries in this or any (or all) of the threads with this Competition in (or email me at nexus-miniatures@outlook.com).

You have till the 31st of August to get your Entries Posted, the Winner will be announced on the 2nd of September. In the case that more than one Entry has the same "suggestion" the tie breaker will be how amusing or inventive the "alternative" names for the characters are.

Conditions of Entry - All decisions will be final. Prize as stated, and no cash alternative offered. Rights to the concepts and names of the Winning Characters become part of the Nexus Miniatures catalogue (all rights reserved) as soon as the Winning Entry is chosen.

Sam Colt (Tom Magnum PI)
Ex special forces soldier Samuel Colt is now head of security for the island hideaway of a fantastically wealthy businessman. He is also a part time Private Investigator with a track record in righting wrongs amd loud shirts.

Jamieson Partridge Andrews (Jonathan Quayle Higgins)
The manager of the island hideaway Andrews is a British Army veteran who frequently clashes with brash American Colt but will always help him out of a 'spot of bother'. He is often seem with his two dogs Odin and Thor.

Darwin 'DW' Waterstone (Theodore 'TC' Calvin)
An ex military helicopter pilot DW now runs a successful tourist helicopter business. He also provides supporting muscle for Colt and the occasional helicopter ride.

Wilbur 'Charlie' Taylor (Orville 'Rick' Wright)
Bar owner and sometime underworld contact Charlie is an ex military friend of DW. He is often pulled in to Colt's investigations where his collection of weaponry comes in handy.

This group of island hopping detectives provide a blend of deduction, combat skills and cool cars and helicopters with a distinctly 80s vibe.

I'd like these figures!

Am I right in thinking (I only found this thread yesterday) that I can pre-order the New Defenders and then add other stuff to the order as it becomes available? What size are the minis, are they 28mm or more like 32mm?
