Wow!

What's the bald woman on the left from? And is the fellow on the right with the visor a GW original?

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

An inspired group of astropaths.  The plant they are on mist be important to have such a sizable contengent.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I suspect collecting astropaths is a bit of a niche within a niche ;) I've got more to come though!

@FramFramson - the bald lady is a conversion of this Dark Sword figure:

There's some detail on the conversion here.

The guy with the visor is indeed a GW original - he was part of the Inquisitorial retinue figures from the early 2000s - you can pick him up fairly readily on ebay.

I've been attempting something different over the last couple of weeks - my first ever sculpt from scratch.

I started with this:

With the intention of making a 28mm version of this old 25mm figure - the Interplanetary Merchant from Citadel's Spacefarers line:

I built up some mass:

Added some details and made a few mistakes:

Realised he needed feet:

And ended up with this:

He's not perfect, but I learnt a lot, and can't wait to paint him up! Lots more WIP pics over at my blog.

Oh wow, the merchant looks great! :o I was thinking only the other day how great it would be if the old Spacefarers range was size-compatible with RT era figures.  8)

For a first sculpt that's pretty damn good. Better than the original. Impressed, and somewhat jealous.  ;)

There's a few ranges that could do with an embiggening ray. Spacefarers would be brilliant.

@Earther - I'm 100% with you - I love the Spacefarers range and wish it was in 28mm, particularly the Star Lane Pirates and jet cycles.

@Wachaza - thanks very much. I don't know that it is better than the original, but it doesn't compare too badly I guess :)

I've made a little more progress with my Maniac gang for the autumn rolling road campaign - this time with the addition of a heavy weapon gunner. She's a simple head swap on an old Imperial Guard figure (head is from Venus Bluegenes from the Citadel Rogue Trooper range).

As ever, more words over at my blog.

These are fantastic - I love the colour choices, especially her pants. I'm well in to funny pastel tones for sci fi.

A cracking little gang you have there. All beautifully painted. Al a bit different but still unified. Well done.

Thanks guys! There's plenty more Mohicans to come ;)

It's actually one of Foundry's flesh paints - the Oriental Flesh Shade from the Oriental Flesh triad. It just seemed a nice colour to use on cloth :)
