Lovely brushwork! I especially like the white eye-stripes - I assume inspired by the Logan's World bit of the RT rulebook? Fantastic attention to detail and a real inspiration.

Is it just the angle, or does the shotgun guy have long arms? Not meant to be a criticism - he'll look amazing on the tabletop. It just caught my eye.

I'll claim the angle - running, bending, arms out in front. He looks fine to me in hand ;)

And yes - Logan's world is the setting for these guys, hence the eye stripe. I've got a water seller in the works for these guys to hang out with too!

As promised, I've been working on the Water Seller to accompany my Logan's World mercenaries. If you're not familiar with the look for Water Sellers, they are illustrated as being fat, heavily tattooed and wearing trousers with waist sashes:

My guy, Silwon Fisk, is slightly more hands-on than those pictured!

He's converted from a LOTR Harad Guard, with a Necromunda shotgun and press-moulded head from Citadel's old Paranoia High Programme. The collar and other bits and pieces were sculpted.

The little chap was a Foundry / Casting Room Miniatures familiar with loads of sculpting over the top, plus a FW grenade launcher.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the results!

More details and loads more pics over at my blog.

YESSSSSSSSSSSS!

Love them, mega. Have you considered adding any of the digga range to your retinue, seems they'd fit well.

Thanks all!

@ 3 Fingers - one of the other campaign players is planning to take ork slavers. I hope someone will make a hoverbus too!

@ Jagganeth - I only have a couple of the trukk crew which I'm considering adding to some vehicles.

Ahead of a game I'm playing in a few weeks time, I needed to add some figures to some starship crew to make a sort of intersteller trading company force.

I've added a pair of servitors to lug cargo around (Bob Olley RT servitors):

And some company troopers (Alternative Armies / Ion Age militia):

And the force as a whole:

More pics and words over at my blog.

Really excellent - I want to start a similar project in 15mm, just plugging along with characterful minis, but seeing the Bob Olley sculpts does make me want to do it in 28mm!

This has been such a good project to follow - how many minis have you done so far? Really impressive.

@Jaganneth - because I'm pretty sad about these things, I can tell you exactly!  Since early 2014, when I started painting up a loose collection of RT era themed models, I've painted 168 in total (excluding terrain). I'll be honest and say it's been the most enjoyable project (if you can call a loose collection of figures a project) I've done since I started gaming :)

Wow, that's so productive. One every four days basically?! I like that you've got quite a few consistent colour pops too (like that fleshy orange) - it strikes me that you could assemble pretty much any ad-hoc group and it tie together nicely.

One of my favourite projects ever. Top.
