Lovely stuff, Axiom. Nothing beats a xenos-trader (in terms of modeling opportunities, I mean - morally reprehensible, of course).

Thanks all! pocoloco - excellent idea about the electrified fence. I need to investigate that suggestion - much appreciated :)

After a little break, I got a couple more figures painted up earlier this week.

First up is a 3rd Astropath to go with the previous pair, this time the Talisman version:

And also another Ash Waste Nomad to add to the gang:

The gang now looks like this:

More pics and text on the blog :)

Brilliant additions!
 :-*

The Nomad is another great bit of vision and the Astropath looks suitably creepy.
Love 'em both.

That nomad gang is brilliant! Bright as well, proper old school cool.
Love the astropaths, delightfully creepy, they still hold up well. I never realised there were that many sculpts of 'em.

Thanks! The Nomads' primary colours have been divisive, but I deliberately went bright because of the description in the Confrontation rules in White Dwarf :)

Astropaths are great - I've got another 3 from GW they produced over the years, plus a couple of conversions. Eventually my astral choir will be done ;)

Awwww, I've got lead envy now...  :'( All I have is the most recent one, you know, the one with half a roll of TP stuck to his staff?

There's a few issues with my latest painted figure - I did it too fast and he's not quite as well finished as the other Ash Waste Nomads, and I have a nagging feeling his sculpted right arm is too long...but all that aside, he's finished and more than capable of adding some heavy firepower to my Nomad gang!

The figure is relatively modern for me - a Vostroyan Imperial Guard sniper, Dark Vengeance chaos cultist plastic heavy stubber, and a hat from Warlord Games.

As ever, more pictures and text over at the blog.

I understand the emotional rollercoaster that you are riding right now only too well Axiom, but from where Im sitting the model looks the business.  Give it a few days before you decide, dont do anything hasty.  Step away from the nomad ;)

Thanks guys!

@cheetor - I actually don't have any real intention of revisiting him too much (save to paint the rear of his ammo feed which I forgot). I've got other things to paint ;)

More Nomads for you - the remaining two members of my 9-man starting gang in my current Necromunda campaign. This time it's Haytham, a plasma gunner converted from a Gaunt's Ghost Imperial Guardsman (new trousers, sleeves, respirator and hat), and an unconverted Rogue Trader era adventurer who seemed to fit in with the rest of the Nomads:

As ever, more words and pictures over at the blog.
