(ARMY PAINTER 2014) Lord Kurchak's mounted Steppe raiders.

Well for everyone interested in the army painters 2014 'challenge'

This first post is outlining what I want to achieve from this.
The first models I want to paint are the marauder horsemen, I have always liked the look of these models and winning the mounted chaos lord on daemonic steed, I finally bit the bullet to do a small chaos warband.

The second unit I want to paint are 10 chaos warhounds, these, I expect, to not take long at all but are again models i like and their speed would lend to the aim of a fully mounted warband.

The third unit I aim to finish will be a unti of 5 chaos knights. These models are great and I think with the scheme I have chosen they should look good.

Lastly, will be the lord himself. This is where I shall spend the full month on him tweaking parts and getting it JUST right 

All of the bases for these shall be finshed in a snowy wasteland look as I want them to be from the Northern Steppe of the warhammer universe and they shall all have vowed to the Khorne chaos god. The first photos will be posted on the first, just to keep up the suspense  haha.

Here are the marauder horsemen, Im not able to get to a computer tomorrow so uploading then would have been impossible. I shall put the standard bearer up first, now the horse was a bit of an experiment as not sure how realistic the colours are 



and the rest of the unit, starting with the captain

Why thank you, I had taken inspiration from some photos but could not quite get the colour i had hoped for  maybe next time...

Admitedly I have been using my phone for the camera as my camera is broken. I do use my uncles when able, though that requires transporting the miniatures to his.

Plus ironically, i am currently plannins a small 'light box' for my photography which a friend recommended, even with a phone camera, it can help apparently
