Best 20mm modern military figures?

                        True statement to be sure. I bought Dervish and British in fair quantities, and spent far more time cleaning them up than one should have to on figures costing what they do. There were also some casting issues.  I actually wrote to the Perrys, and it seems they have heard the same complaints before, but have done nothing to correct them! So yes, I am cautious when a range of figures gets too much praise.

Another vote for liberation. I've got most of the PLO packs, but the people I play with now don't do 20mm. bleh
I have noticed that liberation does seem to recycle the poses from line to line quite a bit. There are a couple yahoo groups as well that have a fair amount of images.

Stonewall figures seem to have quite a range under their combat miniatures, I do know however they are slow sending orders out so would advise a test purchase just in case

Agis, another vote from me for Liberation Miniatures. I wasn't a big fan of them at first, but the sheer amount of packs, weapons, and theatres they cover are astounding. "Piers" (aka V here on LAF) shows how well they paint up.

Their vehicles are amazing as well. Have been working on their US Special Forces Dumvee and crew lately and it's a pleasure to paint.

Excellent Agis, I figured you like them. Looking forward to seeing what YOU do with them.

I just painted the Britannia Afghan vignette of the two Taliban lads on the moped armed to the teeth. Had fun with that one.

That is depressing. You paint 20mm orders of magnitude better than i paint 28mm. I should give up.
