Not quite as smart as Helen's offering, but

Number 72 - Imperial German MG Crew

Part of the MG Company of 1st Grenadier Regiment "Crown Prince" (1st East Prussian) (Grenadier-Regiment Kronprinz (1. Ostpreußisches) Nr. 1), which formed part of the 1st Brigade of 1st Division.

I managed to find another refugee hiding in the lead pile.  He has been apprehended by the red caps, and is now being sent to rejoin his unit as they prepare to raid the enemy trenches.  Renegade Miniatures trench raider.

No 74 Char Mitrailleuse Minerva - 1914

Hello,

After 10 days working on this model part-time I now present to you my finish model as digital can deliver:

The Minerva is made by 1st Corps. The crew are from Great War Miniatures except for the bottom half of the driver which came from the model crew. The majority converted to suit the model.

The crew are from the following:

Officer - Guide Cavalry;
Gunner - Trooper, 1st Chasseurs a cheval;
Driver - Private Carabinier Regiment; and
Observer - NCO Grenadier Regiment.

This model is made in gratitude for the help I needed to get back into 1914 from Kris, Phil and David. Thank you guys very much.

I look forward to Great War Miniatures releasing more early war miniatures in the future.

All the best,

Helen

Stunning! Saw a replica up and running during the Belgian air force days september 14...

I would suggest, if at all possible, to keep number 100 for the freebie miniature for Crisis this year. The Belgian king Albert I... Just my 2 cents.

I vowed never to go into WW I, but when looking at this... My hands are itching!  :D
Daaaaaaaaaaaaah !

Thanks Phil and Kane for your kindest words. Kane, we need more recruits for this early period. So please, get your fingers painting.

Kane, I'm not in control of the output for the painting club, but I'm sure if you speak with the moderator he may have some thoughts.

All the best,

Helen

Nooooo, I'm still too much into WW II  :D . But yes, I intend to do the brave little Belgians, as I am one myself (well, Belgian anyway).

And the remark about Albert the first was actually a general remark, my apologies for the mix-up ;-)

That Minerva is fantastic, Helen.

I particularly like the crew, with all their different uniforms - which was apparently what they looked like as the crews were volunteers from all branches of the Belgium army.

Number 75 - Regimental Headquarters, 12th (Lithuanian) Uhlans, Litthauisches Uhlanen Regiment Nr. 12:

I think that the GWM horses make a good match for the Trakehers favoured by Prussian cavalry units :-)

As far as Albert I goes, I think rather than reserve the 100 slot for him at this late hour, we'll allow him as an extra "epilogue" figure to round things off, if Kane wants to paint him. Don't want someone missing out on the club and getting annoyed because one slot had been taken away at such late notice.

pnly 1 month (and a bit) to go then if somebody wants to paint him on the spot we can always provide for a painting station and the colours necessary. The end result can be posted via a mobile phone if somebody is willing to pick up on the idea.
