Khurasan previews third player character set

Another eclectic 15mm player character set, by Tom Meier, this time a male human paladin, female human barbarian, and female halfling rogue.

Already sculpted, master cast, and to be sent to the painter are:

Male human ranger
Female elf magic user
Female human cleric
Male Dwarf fighter

So, any suggestions on the next batch of two or three figures?  My hope is to make a well-balanced set of player characters, with outstanding sculpts that will really stand out from the npcs/monsters.

Nice! I keep wanting to place another order with you but I'm always waiting for the new stuff! How about an iconic barbarian? Maybe an Anit-Paladin, evil warrior type?

An anti-paladin wouldn't really mix with the models I make now.  I'm looking for the building blocks of a good player character party.

I don't like the knight, but the others are cool. The knight is like plain or something. Needs more cowbell.

And I'm sure a halfling female would be a good stand in for a diminutive would be assassin in a well known series currently 'in vogue'.

Paladin is fine IMO.  

Let's see:

I see the "usual Suspects" as Fighter, Ranger, Barbarian, (never used in my campaigns because a particular  player who wanted it was known for "cheese filled" characters/ antics and min-max'ing characters rather than role-playing,) Cavalier/Paladin, (never used in my D&D campaign after once or twice because of balance issues in the early design but that is just me,) Mage/Illusionist, Rogue/Thief, Bard, and Druid.

Version of each "class" or career:

Gender - Female/Male

Species/Races - Human/Dwarf/Elf/Halfling/"Half-(Elf/Orc/etc.)/Lizardmen (The last unique to my campaign back pre-AD&D.)

Weapons/Gear combinations:

Ranged - Bow, crossbow, javelin, short spear, sling, throwing knife/axe

Long range/second rank Melee - Pike, Spear, Trident and other assorted Polearms, Halberd

Up close and personal (one and two handed) - swords, axes, maces/clubs, knives, flails.

You could (using all the above have myriads of characters (a flail wielding male Halfling Fighter, a dagger/knife wielding female Dwarf Thief, a male elf Fighter/Mage using a trident and wearing a sheathed two handed sword on his back, etc.,) have many characters.

My very specific personal wish list:


Human, male, mail wearing Human Fighter with spear and shield with sheathed dagger and hand axe in belt, mace hanging from pack on back

Human, male, mail wearing Human Fighter with long sword and shield with sheathed dagger and hand axe in belt, bag/pack/pouch slung over one shoulder

Human, male, studded armor wearing Human Fighter with Long Spear and shield with sheathed dagger and sheathed sword, short bow and quiver on back

Human Female, leather armor Rogue with throwing knife and club/mace, light pack on back/over shoulder

Dwarf male in plate with two handed flail, pack on back

Female Dwarf in mail with javelin, one handed axe, sheathed short sword, pouches on belt

Elf Male Mage with staff and dagger in robe, light pack with attached bags/pouches

Female Elf Ranger with Bow, in heavy full body coverage clothing or leather armor, short sword, throwing axe in belt, pouch on belt

Male Halfling Fighter/Thief with studded armor and shield, sling, sheathed short sword, pack on back

Female Halfing Druid with in clothing, one handed sickle in left hand, sheathed dagger, and throwing a rock with right hand, pouch on strap over shoulder

Then I saw the idea of adding more human bad guys leaders to his current sets of the Great Enemy figures as a possibility.  

Note, iconic Bad Guys/Good Guys is a slippery slope, soon everybody will clamor for their favorite villain or hero from literature/movies/TV...

That female barbarian is one of the best versions of that character I've ever seen in any scale. But what am I gonna do with a small batch of tiny adventurers? 

I got it!!! The party accidentally eats some magic mushroom and they shrink to half their size.

What I'm looking for is suggestions on models to add in order to make for more interesting player character parties.  So for instance an anti-paladin would not really work in a party that has a paladin in it.  :-)

Tom Meyer sculpts are.... terrific.

Maybe one day i'll grab all of those 15mm gems!
