Starting in control of a Plot Point?
« on: August 07, 2014, 09:14:09 PM »
Dave, Mila,

I have a scenario in mind, where I am trying to get an important person safely on to a waiting airplane.  I see that person as the Major Plot Point.  Can my team start the game in possession of that Person/Point?  Keep in mind this is a solo game.

                                                                                                                       Nick

I don't see why not if the scenario allows for the League to have the plot point taken from them. It could result in the minor plot points being ignored though, unless you can tie in a good reason to go after them in the scenario design.

The minor plot points are a truck full of fuel for the plane, German guards that have to be dealt with and a pilot that has to be convinced to take this passenger on board.

It sounds spot on to me, some great ideas there.

Yes, that sounds like a good idea, Nick.

That's how the Dangerous Delivery scenario starts as well. In that scenario, one side normally starts with the major plot point and 2 minor plot points already under their control. The kicker is, the other side automatically gets credit for any plot points that are not moved off the table via the escape route.

That scenario is in the Pulp Alley rulebook and might be worth checking out for any helpful ideas.
