Renegade Vs Wargames Foundry
« on: August 09, 2008, 10:31:45 AM »
Hi there,

Does anyone have any Renegade figures and wargames foundry figures that they could stand next to each other and take a picture of for me?   I am just after an idea of how they compare in size.

Basically I want to suppliment my renegade early WW1 figures with Foundry Franco Prussian figures for our VSF campaign.

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong area and thanks in advance for any help.

Foundry figures come in all sizes, depending on the sculptor and the time period when the sculpts were done. Some of their old ranges are pretty tiny. The World War One range is of this sort, and I think the Franco-Prussian is too.

The bad news is that Renegade figures are massive by comparison. Totally at the other end of the scale. I'm afraid I don't think I have any of the Foundry Franco-Prussian figs any more. I offloaded them on to a fellow LAFer as they were no good to me. So I don't think I can do a comparison shot unless there are a few more lying around somewhere, but my memory tells me they were pretty small. I'll have a look if I've any left.

If not I could do a comparison shot of Foundry WWI and Renegade, if that's any use to you. Not quite what you asked for, but the best I can do.

Cheers, that would be awesome if you could do that.

Ain't that weird? I could have sworn they were much, much smaller, but they're not all that different. Though what the picture perhaps doesn't really capture is that the Foundry boys look like eight stone weaklings next to their somewhat chunky Renegade comrades.

I think I'd be okay with them on the same table though.

Couldn't find any FPW boys, sorry. I think I sent the last of them to Malamute. He might have some photos of them. But I'm reasonably sure they were of a similar size and build to the WWI range.

Thanks for that,   Im hoping to add Foundry FPP Cavalry to my Renegade WW1 Infantry for VSF so was just hoping that there not too far away in height etc.   I'm guessing as one range will make up the cavalry and the ther the infantry that any differences in scale will not be too noticable.
