This pack depicts Legionnaires on sentry duty- ideal for guarding Fort Zinderneuf or for patrols of the nearby watering hole.

The pack FFL-03 is available form Mike @ BlackHat miniatures

Paited by Alan @ The Missing Geek Staines’ very own gaming store

Kind Regards

Hi Arthur

Thank you - Mike @ BlackHat is now responsibly for the order's side of things - I'm focusing on next releases, which should be mounted Tuaregs

Hello Mr Unfeasibly Miniatures
would you pconsider, please, to also make, in the future,  Méharistes...could be done by converting your existing Tuaregs dolls..
they are very spectacular..see the moovie Fort Saganne..and they were the real conquerors of Shara and the only ones, together with Tirailleurs Sénégalais, that fought the Tuaregs..and also..nobody make them
can send info on uniforms ecc..
thanks
Pier

thanks for your kind answer Mr Unfeasibly...it's a good idea to produce them in november..this plate is nice but it doesn'nt show all the characteristic details like the bayonet scabbard on the chest (you produced some very nice spare quipment in your range)..and the various pouches..reference picts from the moovie Fort Saganne are very useful..also the dismonted versions..possibly in firing/kneeling positions defending vs Tuaregs attacks are a must..as they fought principally on foot...

http://www.onesixth.co.uk/vb4forum/showthread.php?3958-Compagnies-Sahariennes-quot-M%E9hariste-quot-French-Camel-cavalary-WWII

You'll score a goal by producing those minis..it's fun that always wargamers, modellers, comics creators ecc...field tuaregs Vs Légionaires..and not Vs those Sahariens..historically it would be to pretend to field zulus vs swedish...
thanks again..and..at your disposal for infos like those ones:

arrrrgh méharistes ...
long awaited méharistes  ;)
sahara 1941

syria 1935

sahara 1935

and don't forget that they were infantrymen mounted on camel ...  ;)
Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

the design is very nice...firing figures are the best and could be complete with a kneeling ones ...as the firefight with Tuaregs where short/medium distances affairs hiding behind dunes...
what is the protuberance that could be seen over the heads?...if part of the turban cloth it's ok...and it is appreciable that the heads depicts Chambaas (usulally less veiled than tuaregs) with visible faces and moustaches..but if that protuberance is the depiction of a partially covered red fez..as in the illustration posted..it's wrong...the re fez belonged to the very first experimental (ending in failure) Tirailleurs Méharistes and certainly not on campaign...the real appearance of méharistes was without this fez and with a less tall turban effect
i'm really waiting them to be available for my skirmish Vs Tuaregs
