Outcast Greenskin Project Log
« on: August 12, 2014, 09:34:21 PM »
So back from BOYL with a large goodie bag of toys, including one of the infamous John Pickford Giant Trolls. Plan is to use him as a Giant in my Outcast Chaos Infested Greenskin force.

Added to the base is a Orcling (This one was free, thanks Marcus. But I have 4 packs worth including the LE one) and a Crooked Claw Goblin (Thanks DB!).

Also as a clue to future projects take alook at what else you can spot in the picture hehe

Ooo, that's nice. Any chance of a size comparison shot?

I love John's Trolls. They work very well with the 90s Kev Adams goblin range stylewise. And they are massive!

I've just bought some Kev Adams Heartbreaker orcs and I need a troll to go with them for a warhammer quest almost boss (there's another fight after this one, but this will be the hardest), style wise the troll looks perfect but I'm just wondering if the stats I would have to give him would be too much for level two heroes? Although writing this I've just had the idea I could make him drunk...

Thanks lads, he was a pig to stick together and much putty will be needed to fill some gaps but he's an amazing figure at at £20 a real bargain.

With a normal Troll I'll try to get one in the coming weeks, but atm you can see from the Gobbo on the base just how large the fat boy is :)

Yeah I'm also using Pickfords Fat Goblin King with a pik of ranges but mostly Kev Adams toys :)

really cool ! You did a good job, big minis are difficult to paint, because of the large flat aeras.

It reminds me the old Citadel trolls from the early 90's. I believe I've got a couple of them somewhere, with a few savage orcs.

I have the say the Troll was a real joy to paint, it almost painted himself.

The Goblins to left is another John Pickford figure set, King Furtak Fartage III and Bek Belly Bearer along with Chefs Soop & Gore Dhon.
