Demigod advice needed

My next crew of Greek adventures is going to include a demigod.  I was planning on using a GW plastic Marauder figure as a base.  Now before everyone cries foul, I plan on greekafying him up.  What weapon is suitable for a demigod? I could arm him with a spear, axe, or sword, all with a shield and helmet.  I also haven't picked which god is the father. Any help is appreciated.
