Buildings for Modern KungFu (Fistfull of KF)
« on: 27 August 2014, 03:09:27 PM »
Hello,

I am looking for suitable Buildings for "A fistful of KungFu". Modern Buildings, a little bit like John Woo-Movies and "Big TRouble in little China".
Any ideas?

Although these are designed more for the Pulp Era, some of the Chinatown buildings might be useful:

Thank you, they look good. But they are a little bit too expansive, I think.

A 2D solution?

Gracias,

Glenn

Being honest, "D Solutions are very out of interest. Your games are too good for 2D-Solutions, I think, Glenn.

Not a clue I am sorry. Completely forgot it exists until I saw this thread.

Speaking of fist full of Kung fu I just put together a cop list for the game out of the models I have , just need someone to play it with now

These may not be modern enough but figured I would add them anyway

Something like this or other modern terrain would work too

Standard apartment blocks or other modern buildings with the odd Chinese/asian themed piece like the inn I posted would probably be the best way to do it.

Here is some more basic modern terrain not the prettiest stuff but it provides an ok base if you are not intrested in scratch building but from there you could paint it add some neon looking signs etc

Yep, I'm looking too. Probably scratch build, as all the pre-made stuff just isn't up to the standards companies have reached w/ Old West. historical Japan, etc. Odd that something modern hasn't been as well done.

This is pretty much what kept me from getting into this game. There really is no genre appropriate affordable solution for the terrain. Everything that was suggested to me was either futuristic, like Infinity terrain, or Victorian.

Looking at the rules it seems like a lot of fun so I will put up with futuristic terrain or slightly incorrect terrain for a chance to play the game.

I'm not happy with the rules, because they are too simple and everything depends on dice-luck. But the figures are fantastic and I maybe use 7TV as a ruleset.
Maybe someone has good patterns for buildings, so I can do them with plastic-card. Maybe cheaper paperbuildings.

I'll be using the Matakishi method of city-building w/ cork.

I like the rules!

Yes, I've wondered the same thing: where are all the modern buildings.
