Boring Muslim warband(s) - Saracen Bow HG & Levies added

Ok, this is the plan:

Make up a Saracen warband with a Arab Spearmen GB set and a Mongol Cavalry FF set. You'll see I'll be short of a Warlord, but I'll do somehow.

So the warband will be:

Warlord
3 pts of warriors with melee weapons
2 pts of mounted hearthguard with bow
1 pt of levies with bow

And here we go with the first two points

I saved some heads converting old Wargames Factory Numidian heads to pseudo-berber looking turbaned ones like this:

Hi guys, long time since the last post.
I'm keeping up my job, so I'll post something new.

The idea is to work on minis that can represent the three Muslim Battle Boards of C&C; so this is my Mutatawii'a Hearthguard unit. The chaps are Conquest Normans with GB headswap.

The multi-coloured headgear looks a bit power-ranger to me, but hey...



This other dude with his bodyguard (one is playing a Vuvuzela) is going to be the Religious Advisor of the Warband(s) (this is going to work also for Saracens and Moors) or a foot Warlord (only Mutatawii'a can have one).

Flattered by the huge amount of visits I keep on posting my arabian wonders...

Here's some Levies for my Warband (12 Levies for Saracens, or 2x8 bow warriors for Mutatawii'a):



And (most of all) the mounted bow HG for my saracens (the leftmost chap is the one with the DIY turban). First four:



And four more (again leftmost not-so-nice DIY headgear)!


As you can see, heads fit nicely in the neck socket, making FF and GB miniatures natural kitbashing companions! I find FF being a little bigger on the arms, but hey...

Really great convertions.

And even better to see those with paint on.

I have thought about doing that Fireforge mongol convertions but wasn´t to sure on how it would turn out.
This might just be enought to make me get some and try it out my self. Thanks for posting these and the inspirations.
