Early Imperial Romans - 6mm
« on: 04 September 2014, 05:04:50 PM »
Many moons ago I purchased an Early Imperial Roman army from Baccus 6mm.  I have been painting these first 4 stands on and off for over a year.  The switch to 6mm was frustrating, but in the end I adapted and over the past week I was able to tough it out and get them finished.

I still have quite a bit of work to do on the bases but here is where they are at.

I'll take some proper pics when the bases are finished.

Nice work so far, did you base them and then paint them or other way around?

Finished the bases for now.  Not sure whether I really like the subdued bases or if I need to add more brightness to make them pop.  I am now looking forward to painting more 6mm figs.

Jeff965:  I painted the minis and then based them afterwards.

...

Keep the bases plain as it will show the figures off more - esp. if they are darker colours.

As for looking forward - be warned these can become very addictive as you can have BIG BIG armies  lol
