Blue Moon 28mm compatability
« on: 08 September 2014, 06:50:11 PM »
Hi Guys

I'm wondering about buying some 28mm Blue Moon Manufacturing 28mm for French and Indian Wars - so far my collection is from  Redoubt Enterprises and Galloping Major. Can anyone give me comparisons of the BMM 28mm figures with either or both of these manufacturers?

Cheers

I am sure I have seen a picture and they are quite tall, at least similar to Redoubt

I have the Blue Moon 28mm Drums of the Ohio set. I compared one the BM figures with a Redoubt Napoleonic Royal Marine officer.

The BM figure is taller and larger than the Redoubt so that they could not be mixed in the same units. In fact the BM 28mm is bigger than most of my War of 1812 collection. The exception being Matchlock figures, which are about the same size. However, I don't have any Redoubt Indians to directly compare. Perhaps someone could help.

I also have Conquest Indians and the BM fit better with them. Note that the BM have very thick bases (very nicely landscaped) that make them taller than most figures.

Nonetheless, the BM Drums of the Ohio set are exquisite figures.

I hope this helps
