Unfortunately the 1867 Baedeker doesn't have a map of Palermo, but you might find something interesting in it. The section on Palermo starts on page 235. https://archive.org/details/italyhandbookfo12firgoog

Ooh, the 1869 edition does have a map of Palermo. Unfortunately you can only see a portion of it in the scanned copy I found: https://archive.org/stream/italyhandbooktr03karl#page/n237/mode/2up You might be able to find a physical copy though. A friend of mine found a pretty old copy (1880s IIRC) in the local library with a stunning and highly detailed map of Cairo he used for a pulp game.

I don't know what exactly gives me the impression that someone wants to game a chapter of "The Prague Cemetery"......

edit: forgot the ironic connotation:  ;)

try watching Visconti's The Leopard for some inspiration! Great battle scene in Palermo and excellent reconstructions

Malto

I have the Italian version (im sure I watched an English subtitled edition
of the film) stayed with me since childhood with the Garibaldini bursting
into the town in a torrent of red ..im sure there were some Neapolitan
Dragoons in one scene......must dig my copy out. This film may well be
the primary subliminal factor in this venture!!
