Never got to see the History Channel's show, but just discovered this Vimeo of the archive footage which looks amazing, (shame about the music they've used, but what can you do?)

It's not a bad little, doco, more WWWI than VSF, but it looks great. Fair warning though, the ending is a bit silly and kind of kills it.

It is a great film, I agree with Hat Guy that the ending is a little silly but otherwise excellent. The "archive" footage is a bit overused but that actually ties in with the style of documentary they were trying to emulate.

The actors are great and the weaving of the martian invasion into the timeline of WWI nicely done.

This is what war of the world's goliath should have been *sigh*
