Is this the longest ever thread in LAF?

Will it ever end?

I hope not, as it's truly wonderful  :)

Love the ship  :-* :-*
I remember the WIP being one of the threads that inspired me to joint the LAF.
Brilliant paint job on it now as well just makes it even better. :-* :-*

(I wish somebody would come up with an idea for another competition build I wouldn't mind entering)

I think that ship thread was one of my intros to LAF as well - linked to from TMP, probably.

Corey (Burgundavia, here) is supposedly building our gaming group a tramp freighter, but none of us are holding our breath.  ;)

This whole project is superb - the only thing that needs adding now is more clutter. Those streets look awfully neat and barren on that tabletop!

As ever, thank you for the nice comments. Glad it encouraged some to join the forum.  :)
My response was delayed by a business trip to Ireland. Sadly it coincided with Arthurs Day: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur's_Day  :D

Not yet.
Maybe.
I've not finished yet.... ;)
(As a brief aside, do people mind the thread being so long? It seemed sensible to keep it all together rather than create a new topic each time I added something to the layout, meaning older items would eventually "get lost" in the depths of the archive.)

I would definately be interested.  May we should start a seperate thread for suggestions/discussion.

I'm very aware the table needs "cluttering" (Hello David  ;)). I have added piles of cardboard boxes and dustbins recently, but need to create some discarded newspapers etc to give it a less pristine look.

Bloody hell, Paul! Can't you read?! :) You get nothing but appreciation for all your fantastic addition and you ask if people object?

Speaking for myself, the only objection I have is that I am getting sick of trying to come up with new ways of expressing my praise.

Paul how did you make the cardboard boxes you show stacked in the photos of your wharehouse?

Congrats on the win! :D

I worked out a 'net' for a box (like paper buildings etc, to show what to cut out & where to fold) then copied that onto a brown manilla envelope mutiple times. Each was then assembled with a little PVA. No painting required.

Wonderful stuff Overlord, seems like I've missed a lot on here too - and to answer your question, no the thread isn't too long and I'm enjoying it immensely.

More congratulations for your trophy!  :)

Of course it's not too long!

I can't recall anyone not liking it, so you have to keep going, or too many people will get upset  lol

Just a small addition this time. I added two gateways and various walls to the set-up for the dockyard.

I also painted a couple more blaggers and some civilians:
