How often do you find a suitable scenario to use stuff like King Tigers and Jagdtigers etc?  They look fantastic, just seem a bit overpowered for the average 28mm tabletop.

To be honest I just got them done in the last month or so --- so I haven't played them yet.  That being said, a Sherman Firefly VC can do some damage.  I do think you need to put 3-4 tanks up against each one of them though ... so say 4 x Shermans (1 x 76mm) against a Tiger 2 would be interesting ... of course the 75mm Sherman's need to get around the flank/rear ... the 76mm would be a target priority for the Tiger 2 ... it can be an interesting game ... if nothing else it is historically accurate in that if I was sitting in a 75mm Sherman facing off against a Tiger anything I'd be crapping my pants and putting the "pedal to the metal" to try and get around to it's side/rear (or just getting the hell out of dodge)  lol

Great work. I like the Mickey Mouse style camouflage scheme. Did they actually use that camo on tanks - I would love to see a photo if you have one?

Did you do it with hole punching and masking?

Thanks.

I just use a brush to paint the mickey mouse pattern ... wasn't happy with airbrush results.  No stencils or anything ... I've seen a lot of mickey mouse over the years ... I think given the randomness of the patterns a stencil may prove too uniform.  I wanted my British vehicles to be unique ... I'll be the first to admit that mickey mouse, although clearly around, wasn't used as liberally as perhaps I used it across all my vehicles ... but hey, it looks cool! :-)

Not a lot on the interweb ... I have lots of British and Canadian books in my collection that have several pictures of tanks using mickey mouse.  Did find one fairly quickly (not the best example):

The other problem with mickey mouse is black and white photos using black camo doesn't always come out ... that and many British and Canadian tanks have so much crap on them (bags, spare tracks and such) that it is hard to see anything of the paint underneath.

Jay

Works for me! It does look damn good on the tanks and I will probably do my the same when I eventually get around to it. Even though, I had previously only ever seen it on softskins.

Great work, again, and thanks for the info!

:)
