The white decals are for riot shields for offensive miniatures British police, any ideas?

Also looking for riot rules, the simpler the better.

How about Irregular Miniatures' Riot rules?  Go to http://www.irregularminiatures.co.uk then click 15mm from the bottom, then choose Riot from the left, then scroll down.  Not quite in a disused filing cabinet marked "Beware of the Leopard", but close.  Simple, very playable rules, reminiscent of Tusk.
Back from the dead, almost.

I really need to remember that... I have a few ideas... I'm just waiting for the money to finance these ideas lol

Hey Phil,

I haven't read any riot rules - but here are some ideas I kicked around previously when I was planning some modern 28mm conflict stuff (which would have involved modern Middle East, Africa etc.)

-Morale is tied to the size of a group of rioters.  As the crowd diminishes in size their enthusiasm/morale drops.
-"Good guys" can make use of tear gas, or non-lethal tools to attempt to break crowds (removing riot models)
-"Bad guys" cannot be targeted when moving within a close distance to a mob.
-"Bad guys" may control (decide movement etc.) of mobs they're adjacent to by agitating them
-If "Good guys" end up killing rioters (by accident or on purpose), mobs can turn increasingly hostile, possibly spawning new "bad guys"
-Rioters which reach a certain morale level may also spawn violent "bad guys", or may draw more rioters onto the board due to the noise/movement
-"Good guys" armed with normal firearms could only corral rioters without fighting them
-"Good guys" can attempt to fire guns into the air to force back rioters/mobs within X number of inches

Some of these features would make for a fascinating scenario.  Bad guy agitators trying to move through rioting crowds, pushing them to police locations/embassies.  Police/security trying to break down the riots (but they have orders to fire if rioters enter a compound/embassy).  It would create a unique goal for the "good guys" to control the riot, break down the mobs with less lethal stuff while not creating a bigger fuss or being forced to open fire.

You could have some real fun with this.  I thought about the movie Bopha when I was jotting these notes down.

Looks like Flytrap/Zombiesmith may be coming out with an appropriate rule set:

Lawfighter:Riot "The Riot Miniatures Game"

The Flytrap website mentions the ruleset, and both websites show the first figure sets.

Thanks for all the suggestions lads.

Good points, thanks. I'm thinking of bolting something onto Ainsty's "Aggro" rules at the moment, but not sure what.

They're fine looking and I imagine those will go well so I'll keep an eye on poss. rule developments. I'm looking at 28mm though and good old British riots rather than Yank ones.  ;)

There's a very good albeit rather detailed set of riot/ Aid to the Civil Power rules in one of the old editions of the Courier. I have a copy floating around (somewhere).
